Dear PhD-Students,

This year PSA has the responsibility to organize the 8^th SOLLAB Doctoral Colloquium. We are aware that education of PhD-Students is a key goal of the SOLLAB alliance because more than 30 PhDs are currently working here in the field of concentrating solar technologies. Therefore, the SOLLAB partners CNRS, CIEMAT, DLR, PSI and ETH are convinced of the magnificent opportunity that this joint venture is for the SOLLAB PHD-students where they can present the status of their work and discuss about their ideas, results and challenges.

As in former years, this two-day event is also considered as a basis to establish and increase the network among the participants.

Besides the scientific content of the colloquium we expect to have a lot of fun together, so, profiting of the dates when the colloquium starts, we propose you as an option to come to Almeria on Saturday 23^rd June to celebrate one of the deepest rooted traditions in Almeria related to fire and water, two vital elements which are indispensable on the magic night of San Juan in Almería’s beaches. We will have a welcome barbeque round midnight on the beach, and Sunday a good rest to be full of the joy on Monday morning.

As an additional good reason, please consider that flights are cheaper if you spend the week-end on destination and the extra cost will be negligible.
