Accommodation

The Hornberg Castle is located to the south-west of Germany. This region is better known as the Black Forest. The castle is surrounded by a beautifully wooded landscape and has an ancient ruin nearby. It also has a marvelous view over the romantic Gutachtal Valley and the town of Hornberg. The castle also acts as hotel and will provide accommodation for the participants. Hotel booking can be done via the Registration form from the event.

Activities

As part of the social program of the 9th SOLLAB, the participants will have the opportunity to take part in a real "knights' tournament" and try out different activities such as archery, lance piercing and even cow milking. These activities will take place at the end of the Doctoral Colloquium. During the Summer School there will also be a "medieval dinner” at the castle. Therefore, be prepared for a journey to the 15th century!
