The 6th SOLLAB Doctoral-Colloquium will be held at the PROMES Laboratory, which is located at the Solar Furnace in Odeillo, part of the village of Font-Romeu, which is famous for its hours of sun and is reputed to be the sunniest ski resort in France.




The 6th Sollab Doctoral Colloquium will be part of a european project called SFERA (Solar Facilities for the European Research Area), which is focused on the concentrated solar power.
The following dates for these events have been fixed :
- from the 7th to the 9th of June : the Sollab Doctoral Colloquium
- from the 10th to the 12th of June : the SFERA's thematic lectures, which this year are about radiation.

This year, the 1st SFERA thematic lectures will also be organized from the 10th to the 12th of June, 2010, successively to the SOLLAB Colloquium. The SFERA European project aims at integrating, coordinating and further focusing scientific collaboration among the leading European research institutions in solar concentrating systems.

Concerning a more general audience, the objective of these lectures is to disseminate results of general interest in the scientific and industrial communities, and towards the general public.
